WHITE MOTH NIGHTSTAND
ca. 2026Moth Nightstand draws inspiration from the quiet choreography of a moth in flight. Its asymmetrical silhouette recalls the irregular geometry of folded wings, while its compartments unfold in a gentle, wing-like motion, revealing themselves one after another as if fluttering open.
Carved from translucent white onyx, the stone captures and diffuses light with the same soft luminosity found in the pale wings of nocturnal moths. Neither entirely opaque nor transparent, the material lends the piece an ephemeral quality, allowing it to shift subtly throughout the day.
Conceived as both functional object and sculptural presence, Moth transforms the familiar ritual of opening a bedside table into a quiet, tactile gesture. An object that appears almost alive, suspended somewhere between mineral permanence and delicate movement.
