UOVO BOWL
ca. 2025This bowl explores balance through weight, surface, and elevation. Carved from solid white onyx, its gently concave form rests on three egg-shaped stone legs, lifting the piece and creating a quiet tension between grounding and lightness.
Existing between functional vessel and sculptural object, the composition carries a subtle, ritual presence. The rounded stone supports emerge beneath the onyx surface like smooth pebbles rising through still water, forming an optical dialogue between mass and delicacy.
The natural veining and tonal variations of white onyx guide the outcome, allowing the material itself to shape each piece. No two bowls are alike, with every edition defined by the singular character of the stone.
Handcrafted in Mexico using locally sourced materials, the bowl reflects an ongoing exploration of geological heritage and artisanal knowledge.
